Variant explanations

  • Raw print

This is a raw print, fresh of the printer. For this variant it’s expected that you will do the sanding and painting yourself. There will be some clean up done, such as removing supports and minor fixing, if needed. If you need help in how to do the post processing, please contact us and we will help you as best we can.

  • Painted

If you don’t want to sand and paint the prop, you can leave that to us. It costs a bit more and takes some time, but you will receive a prop almost ready to wear. As individual heads are so unique, we don’t attach any padding on the inside for wearing but we do include padding for you to install.

  • Extra

Sometimes a prop has some extra upgrades that can be included, such as LED eyes, extra magnets, and other extra functionality. This is not available on all helmets, and for those that has this option the description will explain what is included.

FAQs

How long does the order take?

All orders are custom made to fit you, meaning there is no inventory. That means that there is some time from you place the order until you receive it and depending on the variant you chose that time will vary. Usually the sizing takes 1-2 days depending on how quickly we find the correct size. A raw print will take around 1-2 weeks from order until shipping and a painted helmet around 5-8 weeks, all depending on complexity and workload. We will keep you appraised on progress and will be communicating with you throughout the process.

How do I get measurments for the helmet?

There are a couple of measurements I like to get in order to size the helmets correctly. Visit the sizing page to see what measurements are needed and how to take them.

What material is this made from?

We use mostly PLA plastics when 3d printing as that is an easy material to print, is fairly durable and isn’t too difficult to process after printing. That means, however, that it may deform under hot conditions, like if left in a car parked in the sun. The usual temperature given is 50°C before deformation may start to happen, so please make sure you store it where it doesn’t get that hot.

Do you take returns?

Unfortunately, since all helmets are customized, we do not accept returns. We do however make great effort to make sure you are happy, both with the product and with the service. We’ll do what I can to work with you to find an acceptable solution if you have any complaints.
